The band is definitely at its best just vibin the melli fluous jazz, dropping the odd hep-cat style, as in " Come On Everyboc (Get Down)." But, for the most part, wh ff US3 tries to get intellectual it just com like a low-rent Digable Planets. Overall, the chemistry on Broadway & e never quite gels. Which is too bad, bec US3 certainly has a laudable goal-trying to turr a whole new generation of young people onto ja es Unfortunately, this album full of "Cantaloop" past doesn't quite do the trick. -June Joseph
